The Opening Tip
Nikola Jokic worked the Warriors for 2.5 straight hours yesterday
New weird ESPN graphic just dropped
The Clippers have new logos and jerseys
1. Wemby’s gonna get a quintuple-double
That headline is a little sensationalist, but here are Victor Wembanyama’s stats from his last five games, formatted by points-rebounds-assists-blocks-steals…
Feb 12: 27-14-5-10-2
Feb 14: 26-9-5-3-1
Feb 22: 19-13-4-5-5
Feb 23: 27-10-8-5-5
Feb 25: 22-10-2-5-1
… which equates to 24.2/11.2/4.8/5.6/2.8 per game.
On Friday, he had the second 5 x 5 game by a rookie ever only a few days after recording a triple-double with blocks.
No one’s gotten a quadruple-double since 1994 (David Robinson), and there have only been four ever, which is why it sounds funny to say Wemby’s a lock to get one at some point, but here we are.
The true bar for Wemby should be the first-ever quintuple-double, which would be a perfect career accolade for this 7-foor-4 French alien.

2. Daily GIF: Nikola Jokic making Draymond Green look dumb
Jokic dropped 32-16-16 on the Warriors last night, mostly while being guarded by Draymond Green, who showed (again) over the weekend how bad of a human he is.

3. Trivia
Who led the league in triple-doubles in 2013-14, with five?
• LeBron
4. This is a real graphic that ESPN ran over the weekend
It seems like ‘ACC HEAD COACHES WHO ARE BLACK’ would have been OK to say there, rather than ‘HAPPEN TO BE BLACK,’ which makes it seem like a total coincidence rather than a positive sign of more black representation in college basketball coaching.
